Embracing the use of old techniques, hand-crated textiles, practical form and the natural qualities of materials, Wovenpay cultivates the savour-faire and inspiration of the past to create modern couture for the everyday artist and adventurer.
Inspired by simple shapes, patterns and rich colour drawn and printed by hand, the Wovenplay process is one of embellishing and manipulating materials and textures as well as discovering new techniques to create intriguing, imaginative and unexpected results.
The majority of their production is done in Brooklyn with a few printed styles produced at an organic/fair trade workshop in India. Most of the handwork, illustration, dyeing, printing and finishing is done in their studio.
